The rules
01Working flair only
Every move must serve the drink being made. Exhibition-only sequences are judged separately from the core routine.
02Two drinks, one flow
Two identical cocktails, mixed in one continuous routine — the judges compare them side by side.
03The clock never stops
Eight minutes from the first touch. A drop is recoverable — the clock is not.
04Difficulty is scored, not risk
Judges reward control, flow and originality. Unsafe or uncontrolled moves lose points.
05Safety first
No open flames, no non-bar props, no moves that endanger the audience. Broken glassware ends the round.
06The drink still wins
Showmanship carries points — but the cocktails must be balanced, correct and properly built.
How points are awarded
